CBD tinctures are currently the most popular method of consuming full or broad-spectrum CBD oil.
Traditionally this is done through applying several drops of the oil below the tongue and absorbing the cannabinoids through the capillaries there. However, it can also be added to foods and drinks or applied topically to the skin or hair.
CBD tinctures came under threat in Europe at the end of 2018 with the EFSA’s stance that it should be categorised as a ‘novel food’. This stance has not been echoed or enforced on scale
by any EU member state as of yet, it also seems increasing unlikelythat it will ever be
enforced as public and political opinion swings in favour of CBD and cannabis.
Regardless it is worth approaching with diligence before launching as a national product.
